Our Mission

Danubius Track Club (DTC) is an independent athletics community built on performance, innovation and access to international opportunity.

DTC came out of a simple observation: athletes today need more than a traditional club structure offers. They need access to the knowledge, technology and international connections that support long-term development at the highest level.

The founders

We started DTC ourselves — Darius Silaghi and Ferenc Soma Kovács — as active athletes. Competing in Hungary, across Europe and in the NCAA system, we experienced the strengths and the limits of the traditional athletics environment first-hand. Danubius Track Club grew out of the belief that a more modern, more flexible ecosystem can serve the next generation of athletes better.

Where we are today

DTC now connects athletes across several disciplines, including the running and jumping events in athletics and modern pentathlon. Our network includes national champions, international competitors, World Championship and Olympic competitors, European Championship finalists, NCAA athletes and medallists, and emerging talent — all connected by the same approach: they take training seriously and keep pushing their own limits.

Technology and partners

Alongside competing, DTC explores the modern side of endurance sport. Through partnerships with performance-focused brands such as Polar, Concept2 and others, we work with tools that help athletes better understand their training, their recovery and their performance.

Vision

We also want to share what we learn with the wider running community. Through articles, conversations and collaborations, we work to make the lessons of high-level training accessible to anyone serious about improving.

Our long-term vision is to help build a new athletics ecosystem in Central Europe — one that connects athletes, technology, education and international competition, and that better reflects the realities of modern sport.

Who trains with us

DTC's athletes include competitors at the highest level of endurance sport:

  • Olympians and World Championship competitors
  • NCAA medallists and national record holders
  • National champions in athletics and modern pentathlon
  • International-level race walkers, pentathletes and middle-distance runners

Danubius Track Club is still young, but the direction is clear: supporting ambitious athletes, building partnerships that matter, and helping shape the future of endurance sport.
