Gáll András

"First and foremost, modern pentathlon is my main focus, but out of the five disciplines, running plays the biggest role in my life. I started as a swimmer, but it became monotonous, so I switched to pentathlon, and that’s when my interest in running began. I was 14 years old when I started running more seriously, and by the time I was 16, I had already won the 3000-meter indoor national championship. Due to my background as a swimmer, I prefer longer distances, and I love to challenge myself the most at the 10-kilometer distance. As part of my training, I often include road races in my preparation, and I aim to maintain 90-110 kilometers a week during the base phase. My long-term goal is definitely the Olympics, albeit in pentathlon, but outstanding running will be indispensable on the road to get there."
